Last month, the Design Team had the opportunity to visit our long-standing furniture partner, Steelcase’s, state-of-the-art headquarters in Germany.  Learn more about their trip, and discover the inspirational workspace…

The Munich Learning + Innovation Centre – LINC – is a 14,400 sq. m space designed for employees, dealers, customers, influencers and guests from around the world to lead, learn and innovate together.

Over the course of two insightful days, the team immersed themselves in the latest solutions, furniture trends in a hybrid working world, sustainability, and more. They also took a deep dive into research surrounding workplace culture, including presentations from industry experts.

During the visit, the team had a guided tour of the spectacular building by our Account Manager, Kris. They got to see the newest product launches in their space setting, creative layouts, and stylish fittings. Of particular interest was the inviting collaborative space scattered throughout the learning centre, which served as an excellent example of what our clients often enquire about – ranging from formal to informal, seated to standing, open to closed.

Watch the tour of the stunning LINC building:

The trip provided an opportunity for our Design team to strengthen our partnership with Steelcase, and step away from the day-to-day to find inspiration and ideas for upcoming design and furniture projects; Steelcase’s HQ was the perfect setting for this!

Our Design Manager, Jon Foster, reminisced on the trip saying:

“It’s fair to say the trip was a success, and we covered a lot! The research and level of depth the speakers went into on all subject matters was enlightening. The team were fully engaged for the two days, collaborating with the people of Steelcase, and hearing from expert speakers in various fields across the globe. The Centre is remarkable and is a true reflection of Steelcase and how they’re at the forefront of modern workplace solutions. Thank you to Steelcase for the opportunity.”

But it wasn’t all work and no play. The team had the chance to see the iconic sights of Munich – some of whom joined Lead Designer, Beth Hellings, for a run around the city – and they also joined Account Manager and host for the weekend, Kris Newman, for a catch up on the visit over dinner.

Kris Newman commented on the trip:

“We were delighted to host Paramount at the LINC for their two-day educational visit. We’ve no doubt the team will have walked away with plenty of food for thought for future projects. I look forward to continuing to support Paramount, working closely with them and their clients, on exciting furniture schemes.”

Shortly after returning to the UK, we had some exciting news from Steelcase that made the trip feel even more worthwhile: Paramount is officially the only dealer in Wales to have been awarded Platinum Partnership. Keep your eyes peeled on our blog to learn more next month…
