Together with local community housing provider, Valleys to Coast, a new housing project in the centre of Porthcawl has entered an exciting new phase.
The development, which is intended to serve the over-50s in the Bridgend region, kicked off works in February 2023. The new 20-property development on the site of a former garage and bus depot on Old Station Road will consist of 17 one-bedroom and three two-bedroom accommodation.
Recent weeks has seen a new crane erected on the site, and construction reaching a significant milestone with the installation of the new Metsec frame system at the development.
The 20 EPC ‘A’ flats, which will be built using a panelised Metsec construction method, and incredibly energy efficient. Homes will incorporate the use of solar PV, and EV charging points, and will not contain gas, helping Valley to Coast work towards their commitment to build homes that are fit for the future.
