The Solution
Established in 1762, RBC Brewin Dolphin is one of the UK and Ireland’s leading wealth managers. For over 30 years the Cardiff office has been helping clients in Wales with a full range of financial advice and investment management services.
As part of its growth strategy, the client was moving into a brand-new office at Two Central Square in the city centre.
Our job was to realise the design, creating a contemporary workspace complete with a variety of formal meeting rooms, ‘zoom’ rooms, individual booths, open collaborative areas and elegant welcome lounge.
To help the client with utilising space more effectively for holding conferences and events, a folding wall between two of the meeting rooms has been added to easily accommodate.
Acoustics across the floorplate was a key consideration for the client. Due to the nature of their work and client confidentiality, all walls have been constructed with a high acoustic rating, with supplementary acoustic treatment above ceilings and below the raised access flooring, as well as the use of suspended acoustic panels throughout the office environment.
A large tea point area, together with biophilic elements and bespoke timber slat walling, provides a fresh, welcoming space for teams to break away from their work, to entertain, socialise and relax.
The new office doesn’t just work for RBC Brewin Dolphin; but it’s a place where teams want to collaborate and thrive.
