The Brief

A natural and earthy office design for teams to feel at ease and at home in their new workplace at the award-winning Dock House building in Bristol.

The Solution

Our top floor neighbours, with teams split over two levels, Offspring Films is an international television production company specialising in factual programming and natural history.

With over 8,500 sq ft of space, the client was concerned about the office being too big and open, so priority was given to effectively zone the space for greater flexibility. A variety of informal touchdown meeting spaces, soft seating and quiet areas were introduced to encourage greater collaboration and creativity. Beautifully bespoke joinery cleverly sections the different working areas, with consideration given to acoustics across the space.

A large coffee shop inspired tearoom has been created on the first floor, complete with pool table. Whilst a smaller teapoint has been introduced to the second floor for ease and comfort.

To successfully capture the personality of the brand and to characterise what the client does as a business, and the type of clients they work with, the design was inspired by land, forest and sea. Materials such as wood, rope and a variety of plants were included alongside contemporary monochromatic furniture.

We also installed fixed desks suitable for holding Offspring Films tech requirements, with room to grow should they need to install more workstations.

What the
client had
to say

“What’s really impressed us about working with Paramount is that they’ve been very open and accessible the whole way through. They’ve very much been “there’s no such thing as a stupid question” which, for me, has been really helpful. They’ve been a pleasure to work with!”
