The Brief

Design a modern workspace around the realities of the business and to meet the needs of its people.

The Solution

Many professional services companies operate out of very traditional, cellurised office spaces that struggle to support modern working practices and do little to foster collaborative working. Grant Thornton UK LLP, part of the Grant Thornton network of independent assurance, tax and advisory firms, was no exception.

Based in the heart of Cardiff, the company wanted to provide an agile workplace that echoed the company’s corporate image, and enhanced employee experience and well-being. This was achieved through a comprehensive fit out, creating a multi-functional workspace which was supported with the use of modern technology solutions for a truly agile environment.

We met the design brief through a collaborative design development process, which incorporated high quality finishes throughout. Key design features include extensive use of bespoke joinery, a mixture of carpet and luxury vinyl tile finishes, as well as an exposed ceiling void to create a cutting edge ‘defurbished’ appearance.

What the
client had
to say

“We were impressed with Paramount from the outset – the approach, the delivery, the professionalism. Our brief was not an easy one, as there was a plethora of requirements being judged and assessed from a variety of views and opinions. The team listened intently, asked intelligent questions and ultimately wowed us all with their perception, creativity and commercial acumen. Throughout the project, they have been fair, diligent and approachable and the result is a new office that not only represents our brand image but has created excitement amongst our team for future growth here in Wales.”
