The Brief

The pandemic may be behind us, but the lasting effects to the way people choose to work have changed the way businesses look at office space. This was true for Partners at Abel + Imray, who understood they needed to not only offer a more collaborative style of working for their teams, but nurture an environment that would protect the culture of the firm.

The Solution

Abel + Imray is a well established and respected firm of patent attorneys, with offices across the UK, Spain and The Netherlands. In securing a new workspace situated in the centre of Bath, our client chose us for the design, fit out and furniture of the new office.

A modern, hybrid working model was to be implemented by the client to encourage interaction amongst teams. A collaborative style of working required an intelligent use of the V-shaped floorplate, with inclusion of zones throughout the open plan.

Our carefully guided design process included presentations of the proposed new look through CGI’s – which as you can see below – perfectly represents the finished product.

With staff used to a 1980s traditional office style, the Partners welcomed colleagues to a light and airy environment that truly represented the Abel + Imray brand and its culture.

There is now an abundance of choice for teams, from focus pods and quiet zones to more formal meeting rooms and social space.

What the
client had
to say

“When we saw Paramount’s design, it was clear they really understood us – what we wanted vs what we needed. The team at Paramount have been great to work with, and we’ve found we could really trust them to get on with the job and deliver a great product for us. I would recommend Paramount to anyone looking at starting an office fit out project.”
