This year marks the third consecutive year Paramount has sponsored the Bristol Bears Community Foundation Tag Rugby Tournament; an event that’s a highlight in the team’s calendar, offering a fun and active way to raise money for an incredible charity.
The 2024 series featured 24 mixed teams from various businesses across the South West. Over 200 industry professionals joined together and competed in a series of heats, with the top 12 teams advancing to the final at Ashton Gate Stadium to vie for the Corporate Tag Rugby trophy.
This year’s final was held on May 22nd, during the Community Foundation’s Celebration of Sport campaign.
We’re over the moon to report that the 2024 series has raised an impressive £22,000, surpassing last year’s total of £16,000 and the previous year’s £3,000.
The series continues to grow year-on-year, providing essential funds for the foundation’s programmes, which aim to enhance employability, personal, and soft skills among young people in the South West.
Special thanks, as always, go to our Regional Manager, Sulli Gardner, for organising and throwing his all into this event. Craig Capel, the Bristol Bears Community Foundation Development Manager, praised Sulli for his contributions saying:
“For the last two or three years, he’s been the support I need to reach the corporate world essentially, without Sulli and the support of Paramount, the teams wouldn’t be here. Well done, Sulli!”
